I'll never forget when this ten-point whitetail deer emerged out of the brush one misty morning in Fredericksburg, TX. There's a lot of deer in the Texas hillcountry, but this one was different. Slower, confident, dominant. I was so taken by his quiet beauty that I painted this portrait and have kept it in my own private collection until now.
