Ella Bishop-Heil is a self-taught multidisciplinary visual artist whose “meticulous” artwork are acclaimed as “capturing the intrinsic beauty in humankind and nature”.

Ella is a published cover and interior comic artist. Her award-winning fine art paintings have been displayed in the Nicolaysen Art Museum, the Wyoming State Museum, and the U.S. Capitol Building.

She creates eldritch-slasher horror comic Hyperbole, and is lead cartoonist for Oil City News‘ weekly print newspaper.

Ella is the creator-editor of Strange on the Range, an annual print publication dedicated to Wyoming comic artists and illustrators – hailed as “Wyoming’s premier comics project“ by AIPT Comics.

Ella is a woman in STEM and earned a Bachelor of Science in Ecology from the University of Wyoming.
