Ella Bishop-Heil is a self-taught multidisciplinary visual artist whose “meticulous” artwork are acclaimed as “capturing the intrinsic beauty in humankind and nature”.

Ella is a published cover artist with paintings in permanent museum collections. Her award-winning art has been displayed in the Nicolaysen Art Museum, the Wyoming State Museum, and the U.S. Capitol Building.

She creates eldritch-slasher horror comic Hyperbole, and is lead cartoonist for Oil City News‘ weekly print newspaper.

Ella is the creator-editor of Strange on the Range: Zine, an annual anthology-style print magazine that publishes Wyoming comic artists and illustrators.

Prior to her full-time arts career, Ella worked in STEM and earned a Bachelor of Science in Ecology from the University of Wyoming.
